In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5

When you encounter the Word or you are connected with the Word of God, you are connected with light. The Word of God brings light, revelation; illumination. john 1:5 says, ‘And light shineth in darkness; and darkness comprehended it not’. Isaiah 60:1-2 says, ‘Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.’

So, the Word of God carries light and the purpose of light or illumination is the elimeination of darkness. The purpose of light is to drive off darkness. What that means is:just one Word from God, one insight from God, one revelation from God can drive off the darkness of can drive off the darkness of sin, the darkness of sickness and darkness of satanic activity.

The Word of God brings light into your spirit. all of a sudden you are flooded with insight; you are flooded with understanding. Something is turned on inside of you and that dark corner of your life no longer has the capacity to remain. The light shines in darkness and darkness comprehended it not.

so, if there is any area of your life where there is darkness of addiction, iniquity, deception, corruption, frustration, bondage, etc., all you need is to encounter the Word of God in that area.
