NOT MANY [of you] should become teachers [self-constituted censors and reprovers of others], my brethren, for you know that we [teachers] will be judged by a higher standard and with greater severity [than other people; thus we assume the greater accountability and the more condemnation]. JAMES 3:1 [AMPLIFIED]

The anchor Scripture is for every child of God, especially for the ministers of the gospel. One of the greatest opportunity on earth is the opportunity of ministering. And one of the most implicating responsibilities on earth is also the responsibility of ministering. The implication of being a minister is heavier than that of just a single Christian trying to take himself to Heaven.

It is easier  for one man to take himself and his family to Heaven than for the same man to try to take himself and 2000 people along the way. It is more implicating. And if you weigh the heavy implications very well, you will understand that if a person is genuinely called of God, ministry and Kingdom service should not be toyed with.

If a man who is not genuinely called by God steps into ministry, his destiny has been implicated. What is allowable for a Church member can be abominable to the pastor. For ‘to whom much is given, much shall be required’ Luke 12:48. God has put a whole land, city and community into the hands of some of us.

In Mary Baxter’s ‘A Divine Revelation of Hell’. In that book, she said that Jesus led her on a tour of hell and there, they met a pastor who was roasting in a very terrible part of hell, with 12 demons tormenting him for having preached the gospel and still appeared in hell. Jesus told her this man was fervent but he was lured away into the world by money and several issues.

This is the sober truth. In whatever capacity you have been called to serve as a child of God, know that there are very heavy eternal implication involved. Be sure of your calling (2 peter 1:10) and the Lord will help us all, in Jesus Name. It is safer to leave the pulpit alone than to be in the pulpit and get a heavy judgement at last. GOD BLESS
