WORK OF THE LORD OR LORD OF THE WORK?

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. LUKE 10:41-42.

Many Christians are too busy for God. Their lives, hearts and minds are too noisy, disorginised, disorderly and full of diversities of activities. They live life with many competing priorities; many things are competing for space in their lives with God. there are many things that are struggling for their attention, concentration and focus. it might be a business or any other kind of pursuit; but they live life that are permanently distracted.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit cannot settle in a life that is too busy and full of activities; a life with so many competing priorities and focuses. The care of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the pursuit of other things make it impossible for genuine anointing of the Holy Ghost to settle on such a person.

For some Christains, it could be legitimate duties that take them away from the presence of God. They are busy with the work of the Lord and they don’t have time for the Lord of the work. Begin to concentrate your energy on your relationship with God and from the strength of that relationship, and you will be catapulted to affect your generation even the more.

In the anchor Scripture, Jesus said to Martha, ‘You are bothered about too many things but Mary has chosen the good path’ ;  That is, the path of remaining at the feet of the Master and hearing from Him; the part of quietness and calmness of spirit; and it cant be taken away from her. Martha was concerned about things that did not matter and Mary was concerned about things that mattered. I pray that you will always focus more on things that matters from hence forth in Jesus’ Name. Remain BLESSED!
