And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. EXODUS 3:3-4
Before any turnaround in any generation, there must be a turning aside of the children of God. When God called Moses, the Bible said Moses saw a great sight and said, ‘Let me turn and see.’ Our generation needs a turnaround. And if there will be a turnaround, somebody has to turn aside.
Turning aside means interrupting your usual business and paying an unusual attention in God’s direction. It means to turn back to where you are coming from and permit God to give you a new direction. We cannot live life as usual and see the end time move of the Holy Spirit. We cannot have the usual order of fellowship or of service and see the move of God. A man must come to a point where he is tired of the usual.
What could have led Moses to go and look at the burning bush in the first place seeing that he is already used to the normal side of the desert? He was tired of the normal side and decided to go to the irregular side of the desert. Those who do usual things see usual results. Anybody who does normal things will see normal results. To experience the unusual move of God, you must do unusual things.
The time has come and God is calling the Church to the unusual and the ‘abnormal’. As you make up your mind today to turn aside towards God, your life, family and generation will experience a total turnaround, in Jesus’ Name.
Let everything about you be planned and organised around your relationship with God. Disconnect from anything that will disrupt your relationship with God, because God is first in your life.
