THE MYSTERY OF FAITH

Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 1 TIMOTHY 3:9

If you have read my short article on ‘faith from the word’ you did well, but here is some more things you should know about faith.

Faith is a spiritual mystery in the hearts of many people. There are many children of God who ask the question, what is faith and how does it work? The answer is important because understanding the mystery of faith makes a man to escape mockery and slavery in life.

In this episode i will like you to know two things, first that faith is living in the light of Scripture instead of walking by sight in life. When you make up your mind to live by the light of Scripture and not by what you see, you will come to a point in your life where you are not moved by what you see, feel, or hear but by what God says, ‘that is faith. When men says they are cast down, you will say, ‘There is a lifting up’ (job 22:29); that is faith. Joel 3:10b says ‘let the weak say, I am strong’  That is faith.

When you make up your mind according to 2 Corinthians 5:7 ‘For we walk by faith, not by sight’ not to mind what you see, what you feel in your body , not to mind what is happening in the news but to depend on the truth of God’s Word, then your practicing faith. Men and women of faith don’t follow feelings but insight or light.

Secondly Faith is obedience to Divine instructions to provoke supernatural responses. God asked Abraham to move. He moved and God showed up to confirm that he did the right thing. So, people of faith are people of obedience. There is no disobedient person that is a person of faith. Anybody who rebels against the Word of God does not have faith.

Always remember this in the walk of faith, you start even when you can’t see the end. God bless you.
