JAMES 1:21 ‘wherefore lay mapart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and superfiluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls’
Meekness equals willingness to change a meek man or woman is a man or a woman willing to change. If you don’t want the Word of God to change your life, no need to study it. ‘Receive with meekness the engrafted word’ what does it mean to graft? If you cut the branch of an orange tree, for example, and fix or attach (bud) it to a mango treee, what happens? Mangoes stop where the orange starts. So, the orange plant continues to grow fromup there and bears oranges. What God is saying is, allow my Word to super impose your life. If you need or desire to profit from the Word. You must come to the point where you will surrender who you are to the personality of the Word so that the Word can grow out of you.
A msn or a woman, who is not ready to change should not bother himself with God, going to church or studying the Bible. For as long as we are in this flesh, the room for change is large. Someone says, ‘ The largest room in the Universe is the room for improvement’ It is Just expanding!remeber: chsange is the only constant thing in life.
